Who Are We?


Rio Sports & Tour (RST) is a tourism company that offers ticket , hotel, and apartment reservation services , as well as organizing various activities in Rio de Janeiro.
 
Through its different packages,  RST offers guided tour services to the most famous landmarks and nature walks in Rio de Janeiro, practical lessons for 5 different types of outdoor sports activities, parties and events, in addition to showing clients the intense nightlife Rio has to offer.
Rio Sports & Tour is focused in promoting tourism through sports activities , events and guided tours to the famous landmarks of Rio de Janeiro.  The company was established as an evolution of the work already being undertaken by its partners for over a decade
 
The idea was developed out of a desire to provide assistance to volleyball students who came to  practice the sport in Rio de Janeiro and needed help planning other activities such as tourism, dining and travel while here.
 
The work with foreigners began by assisting athletes, beach volleyball institutions and federations from European countries such as Germany, Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Norway amongst others like Japan and the United States.
 
WIth the goal of providing a great experience for these foreign visitors, we decided to create a business that combined traditional tourism services with specialized sports training.

Technical Qualifications

 
  • The developers of the project, Pablo Salles, Leonardo Silva and Daniel Figueiredo have been training national and international beach volleyball athletes for over 10 years;
  • Bachelors Degrees in Physical Education and  levels I and II Certification  in Beach Volleyball Training by the Brazilian Volleyball Federation (CBV) ;
  • Courses in Tourism Management, Tourism and Sustainable Development , and Events Planning;
  • International experience as coach and/or trainer for local and national teams  of various countries (since 2003);
  • National experience in welcoming and training foreign beach volleyball players from all over the world (since 2005).

  • Provide participants with sports activities in a fun and inclusive fashion;
  • Encourage a healthy lifestyle;
  • Promote physical activity.

  • Postgraduation in Sports Training by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro 2009;
  • Certified as a Beach Volleyball Trainer Level I by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation ;
  • Courses in Public Tourism Management , Tourism and Sustainable Development and Event Planning . Portal Educação  2012-2013 ;
  • Trainer for the German team double Kohler / Sude  at the World Tour and the World Beach Volleyball Championship 2011 ;
  • Coach for the Greek National Beach Volleyball Team  in the under-23, under -20 and under ​​-18 categories, in 2008 and 2010 ;
  • Physical Trainer for the Austrian Montagnolli / Hansel doubles team in the  World Tour Beach Volleyball seasons 2009 and 2010 ;
  • He has been teaching Beach Volleyball for over 10 years.
